This fall, team up with REESE and the NHL® for an exciting consumer promotion

Throughout 2016, REESE and the NHL® have teamed up to run consumer campaigns, including ‘Go BIG or Go Home’ this past winter, ‘For The Love of the CupTM’ in the spring, and now, this fall, the duo is bringing you the ‘Bite into the cup’ promotion.

This ongoing partnership means customers already associate the REESE brand with the excitement of the 2016-17 NHL® hockey season, and that means it’s easy for convenience retailers to build on that excitement in store!

The first wave of the ‘Bite into the cup’ promotion will run from September 15, 2016 until December, when a Grand Prize winner is chosen. Keeping the promotional prepack front and centre in your store will be key to making this campaign stand out during the NHL® season. Don’t forget to train your staff to upsell participating product by engaging in conversation with customers about the promotion, prizing or the progress of their favourite NHL® team.

5 things you should know about boosting sales with the REESE and NHL® promotion:

1. REESE is a well-known brand that keeps growing.

REESE is the number-two singles chocolate bar in Canada, and it’s growing at +16%*. This means brand awareness is extremely high amongst Canadian consumers, so keep it displayed in a high-traffic area for the biggest impact.

The Grand Prize is an ultimate 2017 NHL® All-Star Experience in Los Angeles, CA and the instant win prizes include various REESE and/or NHL® prize packs including REESE and NHL® branded merchandise.

Consumers can enter the Contest every time they buy a REESE singles bar, REESE King Size bar or REESE Minis stand-up pouch. The packaging on these three REESE items will be flashed with a call to action to enter the PIN code from inside the packaging at reeseloveofthecup.ca. A no-purchase entry option is also available.

4. Retail POS materials will stand out.

Choose from header cards, danglers and a variety of prepack solutions to ensure the promotion is top of mind for your customers.

5. The promotion runs all fall.

Be sure to keep the prepack fully stocked all fall to coincide with the 2016-17 NHL® season and media support. Wave one of the Contest opens on September 15, 2016, and runs until December 23, 2016. A Grand Prize winner will be drawn on December 29, 2016.
