The-Cadbury-Bicycle-Factory-2014

The Cadbury Bicycle Factory is here again, and that’s the perfect reason for c-retailers and their customers to celebrate.

Since launching in 2009, this hit consumer promotion has sent more than 25,000 bicycles to students in rural Ghana. Canadians have rallied together to make a real difference in these cocoa-growing communities, so you can count on enthusiasm and engagement from your customers. In fact, the score on “made you feel better about the brand” was nearly 3x above Ipsos norms*.

Here are all the details you need to know to make this promotion a hit:

Promotion start date: March 30, 2015

Website: thebicyclefactory.ca

How to enter: Consumers head to the interactive website, thebicyclefactory.ca, and simply select participating confectionery products and turn them into bike parts. Each product = one bike part and 100 bike parts = one real bike being sent to Ghana!

How to create additional buzz: Store managers and owners are encouraged to source bicycles from local suppliers. They can set the bike up in store using a Shopper Marketing Promotional overlay to ensure it stands out.

Participating brands: Cadbury singles and pieces, Dairy Milk, Trident, Dentyne, and Maynards.

Prepacks: Retailers can choose from a variety of prepacks, including countertop and floor displays.

Want to learn more? Contact your Mondelēz Canada or wholesale rep to order prepacks.
