National Convenience Week 2020 kicks off August 31!

The Convenience Industry Council of Canada reports that more than 80 elected officials (including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau) and 2,300+ stores are confirmed to participate in celebrating the convenience industry and raising funds for Make-A-Wish Canada.

In a response to safe social distancing during COVID-19 precautions, the  celebratory and fundraising activities will be a combination of online and, where possible, in-person events at CICC retail member sites. Many of community leaders are producing videos of congratulatory messaging to those that work and make a living in the sector and serve communities. This year, more than ever, c-stores are being recognized for staying open an essential businesses during the lockdown.

In 2019, Convenience Week activities raised $180,000 for the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada Provincial Chapters.
