About one in seven young Canadians are regular vape users: Statistics Canada
A new Statistics Canada study suggests that roughly one in seven young Canadians are regular vape users.
The agency finds that 14% of teenagers aged 15 to 19 reported vaping in the past 30 days in 2020, and the rate among young adults aged 20 to 24 was 13%.
The data indicates that only 3% of adults aged 25 or older say they used e-cigarettes within the last month.
The report, released today, reinforces signs of a generational divide in nicotine consumption habits.
Researchers say approximately one in 10 Canadians are regular cigarette smokers, compared to three per cent of youth aged 15 to 19.
