Arctic Glacier appoints Peter Laport as CEO

The new leader brings experience from the CPG industry.

Arctic Glacier has appointed Peter Laport as the company’s new CEO. 

Laport joins Arctic Glacier as a veteran in the consumer packaged good space and brings years of experience. He brings over 30 years of experience to the role from multiple companies with roles that include management, operational and commercial roles.

Laport previously served as President and CEO of Bakkavor’s U.S. division, a global provider of fresh prepared foods. During his time at Bakkavor, he helped increase revenues by growing the company’s customer base and helped simplify its supply chain operations. Before that, Laport served as chief marketing and supply chain officer at Revlon, where he led the company’s global manufacturing and supply chain functions. He also held the role of chief operating officer at Ready Pac Foods/Bonduelle Fresh Americas and spent time at PepsiCo and Nestle, where he led the global supply chain for Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins ice cream.

Pete earned a degree in Engineering from Purdue University and a Masters in Business Administration from The Johns Hopkins University – Carey Business School, where he serves as an Executive in Residence. 

Arctic Glacier provides high-quality, premium ice products and services in North America. The company has a more than 140-year history in ice making. Today Arctic Glacier produces and delivers over 2.5 billion pounds annually of premium ice to supermarkets, mass merchants, c-stores, dollar stores, gas stations, and liquor stores, as well other commercial and industrial businesses. Arctic Glacier services over 75,000 customers from 45 production facilities and 56 warehouses and distribution centres across the United States and Canada
