Irving Oil is welcoming Marc and Valérie Desjardins as new operators in Perth-Andover, NB.

The Desjardins are taking over Irving’s well-established existing site in the town and adding it to their business group that includes Squeaky’s Convenience, several Subway locations and another Irving site in Saint-Leonard, NB.

The couple is from Grand Falls, NB, a nearby community but has local roots. Marc played sports in Perth-Andover. Now, he remarks that he is excited to be able to give back to the area - starting with a contribution to the local men’s hockey team

“I am very proud and grateful to be partnered with Irving,” Marc says. "The company contributes so much to our communities.”

Earlier this month Irving Oil was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, marking the sixth year in a row the company, which was recognized for its focus on sustainability, employee communications, flexible work benefits, health and wellness programming and training and skills development opportunities, among other contributing factors.

Founded in 1924, the family-owned and privately held international energy company has more than 1,000 fuelling locations and a network of distribution terminals spanning Eastern Canada, New England and in Ireland, operating under the Top brand.
