Nominations open for the 2024 Future Leaders in Convenience + Car Wash Awards

Convenience Store News Canada (CSNC) is proud to open the call for nominations for the second annual Future Leaders in Convenience + Car Wash Awards (FLICC).
FLICC celebrates and recognizes the next generation of Canadian leaders across all areas of convenience, gas and car wash—from independent retailers and dealers to those working for regional/national/international chains, as well as distributors, vendors, associations and CPG professionals.

We know this is an exciting industry in which to build a diverse and rewarding career. In turn, the CSNC team introduced the new-to-Canada awards program in 2023 to highlight the talent and achievements of emerging leaders, while providing valuable learning opportunities and inspiration.
FLICC will recognize individuals under the age of 40 (as of December 31, 2024) who have demonstrated:
- A commitment to a career in convenience/gas/car wash and related areas
- Innovation through the work they are doing and unique ideas they bring to the table
- Leadership through the capacity to inspire and learn from others
- Initiative by getting involved on larger level, i.e., through committees, associations, events, charitable work or community relations.

There is no fee to nominate (you can nominate multiple future leaders). Make sure to let us know about the nominee’s accomplishments and give us specific examples where the nominee has demonstrated leadership, innovation and a commitment to the industry or the community.
Nominations close October 18, 2024.
The FLICC winners will be announced and profiled in the January/February 2025 issue of Convenience Store News Canada + OCTANE; at CCentral.ca and via a social media campaign. In addition, winners will be honoured at an event during The Convenience U CARWACS Show in March 2025.
