In an ongoing effort to move to sustainable packaging, PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) will be rolling out paper-based design solutions to replace its current plastic rings across multipacks.

As part of PepsiCo’s pep+ (PepsiCo Positive) initiative, the new paperboard designs will begin to roll out in a phased, regional approach in the U.S. later this year. Canada is already making the transition to paperboard. PepsiCo’s pep+ goal is to reduce virgin plastic from nonrenewable sources per serving across our global beverage and convenient foods portfolio by 50% by 2030.
