2025 Star Women in Convenience winner: Lindsay Wilson
Lindsay Wilson
Ontario Sales General Manager
Molson Coors Beverage Company
How did you get into this business?
I had always dreamed of working with iconic brands that help shape the lives and stories of Canadians. So, when I got the opportunity to join Molson Coors and work with its incredible portfolio, it truly felt like a dream come true. Sixteen years later, I still feel that same excitement and pride whenever I talk about our brands, their impact, and the strength of our portfolio. These are the brands people turn to during life’s meaningful moments—around the table with family and friends—those of legal drinking age, of course. It’s an honour to be part of that.
What are you most proud of during the last 12-18 months?
The momentum and success Coors Light has achieved. It’s been amazing to see the brand continue to grow, resonate with consumers, and solidify its place in the hearts (and fridges!) of so many Canadians. What stands out even more is how dynamic and unpredictable consumer trends and shopping behaviours can be. That’s why we’re constantly evolving our long-term strategies, while staying laser-focused on winning every single day with our customers.
What I’m most proud of is the unwavering perseverance of our team at Molson Coors. We’re deeply committed to growing the industry, embracing innovation, and delivering real value for our partners. We’ve built strong momentum, we’re firing on all cylinders—and truly, just getting started.
What do you like most about your job?
No two days are ever the same. Every day brings new opportunities to improve, adapt, innovate, and grow. The acceleration of Ontario’s alcohol retail expansion became a defining moment for both our business and our team. We approached it with thorough preparation and true collaboration, working closely with our customers at every level to ensure a successful launch. It became a masterclass in what’s possible when we’re aligned around a shared vision and focused on what truly matters.
What was the biggest challenge or your career? What did you learn?
Learning to balance being a mom to three young boys while continuing to pursue my career ambitions. I love being a mom and showing up for my boys, and I also love my work. Thankfully, I’ve learned both can be true and co-exist. While I’ve always valued time management, I’ve come to realize how essential energy management is too. Prioritizing self-care is critical if you want to show up as your best self—both professionally and personally.
What's the best advice you ever received?
Stay curious and always say yes to growth opportunities—even when they push you outside your comfort zone. This mindset has guided me through key pivots in my career, especially when stepping into unfamiliar roles. My goal has been to build a deep, well-rounded understanding of every cross-functional area at Molson Coors. By taking roles in marketing, innovation, partner management, retail, sales, and strategy, I’ve gained a broader perspective of our business, our brands, and our customers’ needs.
What's your career highlight/biggest achievement?
Being part of the journey to transform Molson Coors into a total beverage company. Known for 239 years as an iconic beer company in Canada, Molson Coors entered the flavour category—RTDs and seltzers—over six years ago. It’s been incredibly rewarding to witness and contribute to our continued growth, success, and leadership in this space.
How do you define yourself as a leader?
In one word: Passionate. I have an innate focus on building the most diverse, skilled and dynamic team in the business. I believe in leading with integrity, and always doing what’s right—for our customers, our team, and the broader category.
