How did you get into this business?
I started with Husky Energy in my early twenties as an interim job and have been with the company (now Cenovus) for 14 years.
What work-related accomplishment are you most proud of during the last 12-18 months?
I have successfully facilitated the transformation of 10+ worn down Husky Travel Centres over the past two years into newly renovated Esso retail sites.
What do you like most about your job?
The people! And witnessing the transformation of our travel centers from old to gold.
What was the biggest challenge of your career?
Riding out the highs and lows in the Alberta O&G industry.
What's the best advice you ever received?
The grass is always greener where you water it.
What's your career highlight/biggest achievement?
Evolving from a career in procurement, to project management.
What trends or innovations are you keeping an eye on right now. Is there anything you think will shape the business in the next five years?
I will be keeping my eyes on the tariffs /trade war and how it will impact Canada’s growth and our industry.
