Coca-Cola relaunches popular “Share a Coke” campaign
Coca-Cola is bringing back its “Share a Coke” campaign where one can purchase a personalized can of Coca-Cola featuring the name of a close friend, family member and coworker.
Over 800 names will be on offer, including some 400 names that are unique to Quebec. If one cannot find a name, do not worry. Coca-Cola has a customization platform that offers more names to choose from and the ability to add a personal touch to the can. One only need to scan the QR code on the can that will take one to the “Share a Coke” digital hub.
Personalized Coca-Cola bottles and cans are now available in stores across major retailers in Canada.
“The decision to relaunch the “Share a Coke” campaign was inspired by the desire to bring people together and celebrate the moments that truly matter,” says Solange Grimard, senior integrated manager at Coca-Cola Canada. “In today’s fast-paced, digital world, we wanted to reignite the joy that comes from real-life interactions and the simple pleasure of sharing a Coke with someone special. The campaign will run throughout spring and summer.”

Grimard says Coca-Cola Canada will be hosting a range of experiences that are designed to bring people together and make shared moments even more special. This includes pop up events, where Canadians have an opportunity to customize Coca-Cola cans in real time, and in-store activations. The campaign will also include immersive digital experiences, interactive games and exclusive rewards.
“We have also launched Share a Coke Memory Maker, which allows Canadians to create personalized memes with friends and family to keep the connections going,” he adds.
In deciding on which names to include, Grimard says the company based it selection of names on top Canadian names reported by Stats Canada. This and the hub that gives Canadians the option to add other names to the can and customize them makes the offering unique, both for the person buying their favourite drink and as a gift for someone, Grimard says.
““Share a Coke” is about offering tangible ways to celebrate friendships and connections—both in real life and digitally,” Grimard says. “Whether it's seeing your name on a bottle or sharing a Coke with someone close to you, the campaign brings people together in a way that feels personal and genuine. We’ve found that Gen Z is a generation that values authenticity, creativity, and shared experiences. They're constantly sharing online, but we know they crave deeper, more tangible connections. “Share a Coke” gives them a fun and creative way to make new memories with their friends, loved ones and community that they can hold on to for years to come, whether in person or online.”
