The CRA offers online services to help new operators apply for a business number and for various CRA program accounts.

In an effort to make managing tax season easier for small and independent businesses, the agency has launched recent updates, including a newsletter and podcast called Taxology.

A recent episode of Taxology recently discussed the CRA's Liaison Officer Service: The free program offers small business owners and self-employed individuals can get personalized support to help understand their tax obligations. In episode 11, a CRA liaison officer talks about the service to explain what is in a typical meeting, what help a liaison officer provides and how to schedule a personalized visit.
