Convenience Store News Canada is thrilled to announce that Karla Schlieper, president of Mondelēz Canada will deliver the keynote address at the 2022 Star Women in Convenience Awards Event on October 12, 2022.

Risks and Rewards: A global journey of leadership through change and growth
Schlieper was named president of Mondelēz Canada in January 2022, following her success leading the Mondelēz business in Latin America's Southern Cone region (Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay).
She will share with attendees her fascinating and inspiring story, as well as lessons learned along the way.
Schlieper joined Mondelēz International in 2013, bringing with her strong experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry, including senior strategy roles with Unilever and J&F Group in both Latin America and Europe. Within Mondelēz, she has advanced through a number of different roles, including Director Powdered Beverages and Category Director Biscuits both for Brazil followed by roles as Equity Director and then President for Latin America Biscuits.
Schlieper is celebrated for her passion for developing people, paired with strong end-to-end business acumen. Over recent years, Mondelez Canada has made meaningful strides in advancing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and was recognized as a top employer and Great Place to Work for 2021.
