2023 Future Leaders in Convenience: KIRANPREET KAUR

Kiranpreet Kaur expertly oversees many tasks, including gas, convenience, fast food, car wash, accounts, marketing and human resources, says nominator Vinod Iddya, ARL - Petro-Canada.

“She leads an incredible team of 35 at the Georgetown location, which has shown huge financial growth and profitability,” says Iddya. “She has launched various initiatives and transitions to better technology, and has won community awards, a President’s Award, People’s Award, Impact Award and Bronze Award—all related to performance and community initiative.”

Some of the innovations Kaur has been involved with include Cloud 365 with A&W, upgrading food quality, third-party deliveries updates, mobile apps, store, car wash and pump upgrades, and staff training websites. 

She was also involved with recruiting and training for a new store that opened this fall in Waterdown, Ont. 

“There’s never been a dull moment in years of my association with the Petro-Canada and A&W brand,” says Kaur. “Scale and versatility are the signature of these iconic brands. Over the years, we have changed business models, launched new stores and taken over some formidable challenges. Our people have been our strength, getting a great group of people together and aligning their goals with the goals of the brand has made us successful. It's gratifying to lead multiple teams to accomplish at various levels.”

Not only is Kaur committed to compliance, sustainability and safety, but she’s also active in various community initiatives including fundraising support for Bread Basket, Multiple Sclerosis and the local hospice.
