How did you get into this business?

In 2018, I was new to the business when I started as a commercial process associate at JTI supporting the sales and marketing team. I had the wonderful chance to lead our amazing team in 2023, and I have truly valued every moment of the experience, working alongside such diverse and brilliant individuals.

What recent work-related accomplishment are you most proud of? 

Over the last 18 months, I've had the wonderful opportunity to reorganize our team and provide each member with thorough training to help them integrate smoothly. It’s been such a rewarding experience to see us consistently meet and even exceed our key performance indicators of 48 hours’ response time for every request. I work with a resilient and cooperative team that I've been lucky to lead.

What do you like most about your job?

Working with diverse people and understanding their perspectives. Collaborating with different departments and working together for one common goal.

What was the biggest challenge or your career?

Managing continuous change and adapting our processes accordingly. Inspiring motivation and resilience through difficult times. I’ve learned that change isn’t always easy but often necessary, and it’s my responsibility to ensure everyone remains calm. 

What's the best advice you ever received? 

Don’t lose yourself in the role. Make changes for the better and don’t lose sight of the bigger picture.

What's your career highlight/biggest achievement?

Being honoured in 2023 at our National Sales Meeting for the High Impact Team Award.

It's such a wonderful feeling to know that our behind-the-scenes team is recognized and appreciated by our stakeholders and management. Being seen as a highly valued team is a humbling feeling.

What excites you most about the future of this channel? 

Driving change with diverse products for a dynamic world. Despite facing numerous restrictions and challenges, JTI continues to exceed expectations.

What trend or innovation will shape the business in the next three years?

Digital innovation and artificial intelligence.

How do you define yourself as a leader?

I believe in leading by example, and I aim to be as transparent as possible, which really helps in building trust with my amazing team. I'm always open to feedback and I truly appreciate different perspectives.
