Eric Kan manages promos, contests and growth strategy for the company’s largest convenience customer, Circle K. He was instrumental in transforming Molson Coors' business model to adapt to the expansion into the convenience channel, building business plans, fostering relationships with prospective customers, and running multiple banners at once.

“Over the past year, I had the pleasure to lead Molson Coors through the expansion of beer, cider and RTD in the convenience channel,” says Kan, adding this work culminated in a proud moment during the Convenience Industry Council of Canada Summit in September, when Molson Coors was recognized as Outstanding Partner of the Year.

“I value the external relationships we build; partnering with customers and stakeholders toward shared goals creates a sense of alignment and purpose that makes the work incredibly rewarding. It’s a dynamic industry that constantly pushes you to grow and adapt.”

Navigating the expansion of alcohol sales in convenience has been Kan’s greatest challenge.

“With the industry changing rapidly, every day presents a new puzzle. Adapting quickly and being bold in decision-making has helped me succeed—and made the journey incredibly rewarding,” he explains.

“As I continue to build my career, values like sustainability, DE&I and community building are increasingly important. At Molson Coors, inclusion and belonging are at the heart of our culture. I feel safe and empowered to bring my true self to work.”
