“My proudest achievement is turning my dream into reality. I identified a simple issue—how people were refilling their washer fluid—and ventured into a completely new industry. Today, I can proudly say that millions of people across North America have used EcoTank,” says Jordon Francis.

Since its inception five years ago, EcoTank has grown to over 500 locations and diverted 500,000 plastic washer fluid jugs from landfills and the ecosystem. 

Launching a new business can be a steep learning curve, as Francis can attest.   

“We had to develop our own logistics software, establish a bulk refill network, and manufacture our product in Canada, all while striving to maintain profitability to support growth. The most significant challenge was maintaining the belief that every problem we encountered daily was solvable,” he recalls.

“Throughout my life as a visible minority, I never perceived myself as different. However, attending workshops for Black entrepreneurs in high school profoundly influenced me. Listening to the feedback from students about my achievements has been incredibly inspiring, motivating me to continue growing.”
