2026 Future Leader in Convenience + Car Wash winner: MORGAN ARNELIEN

Beginning in the car wash department working on efficiencies, sustainability and technology for the wash facilities, Morgan Arnelien quickly moved into c-store operations focused on supply chain, program development and c-store design of the future. He led development of car wash sustainability related to chemical use, water reclaim and refillable containers, and worked on a car wash app to improve the customer experience through technology. Today, he develops categories with vendors for better in-store execution and customer experience.

“Developing and refining our c-store programs—including the development of our Iced Co-operative Coffee program—has been very rewarding,” says Arnelien.

“The fast pace of the industry is exciting; there are always new programs, products or processes to consider, and I’m proud that our c-store team feeds and fuels families across Western Canada.”

Arnelien is especially proud to be part of an organization committed to investing in its communities.

“Working within the Co-operative Retailing System, we’re truly a local business and community building is at the core of what we do. We’re owned by Co-op members and return our earnings back into each local community across Western Canada,” he says.
