“In today’s world, finding stable, meaningful work can be challenging, so I’m grateful and proud to contribute to a business my parents built from the ground up. It’s rewarding to see how our work can make a small but positive difference in people’s lives,” she says.

One of Patel’s proudest accomplishments has been using her tech-savvy skills to modernize operations at the store in Ajax, Ont. 

“I introduced more efficient, technology-driven processes that made daily tasks easier for both my parents and customers. It’s rewarding to see how my small improvements have helped the business run more smoothly, strengthening our connection with the community,” she explains.

Patel, who has a background in human resources, believes values like sustainability, community building, and diversity, equity and inclusion are very important in today’s workplace.

“As someone starting my career, I want to be part of organizations that care about making a positive impact on people and the environment,” she says.

“Community has always been a big part of my life through my family’s business, where we serve and support people every day. I’ve seen how inclusion and kindness create trust and stronger relationships. So, as I build my career, I want to contribute to workplaces that reflect those same values and help create an environment where everyone feels respected, supported and valued.”
