Sean Swanney has been described as a young, driven manager making a real impact in the industry.

Starting in the warehouse gave him a clear understanding of how petroleum sites are built and operated, and moving into inside sales helped him learn how to solve customer challenges and develop practical solutions to address them.

“That foundation has been key to how I lead teams and support customers effectively today,” he explains.

“What I value most about this business are the relationships I’ve built with customers and suppliers. I take pride in understanding my customers’ needs and being able to bring together the right combination of suppliers to deliver effective, reliable solutions. Seeing those partnerships create real value for everyone involved is what makes this work rewarding.”

Sustainability is a core motivating factor in how Swanney approaches his career path.

“As our industry evolves, it’s our responsibility to lead with solutions that help customers stay ahead in evolving energy sources and solutions. It’s not just about meeting today’s needs but building a foundation for future energy requirements and regulations,” he says.

In a time of change, with new technology, evolving regulations and the need to attract and develop the next generation of talent, Swanney has stepped up to mentor the next generation through his work as a board member with the Alberta Petroleum Storage Systems Contractors Association (APSSCA).
