With four FLICC nominations, there’s no doubt Vivek Singh’s industry peers see his tremendous value and accomplishments. After starting as a front-line employee, he rose quickly to team lead, site manager and operator of two successful c-gas locations, each with QSR restaurants, overseeing day-to-day operations, financial performance and customer service.

“I felt truly grateful for the opportunity to lead my own Petro‑Canada site in 2021. It’s been a wonderful journey since I started as a GSA in Dorchester, Ont. and I have always believed in Petro‑Canada’s goal of energizing lives and supporting the communities we serve,” says Singh, who stepped into the ARL role in 2024, supporting multiple sites in the Maple, Ont. area along with A&W restaurants.

“Over time, regular customers start to feel like family, and being able to mentor others as I was mentored has been very meaningful. In such a fast‑paced industry, staying connected to the community and supporting one another makes a real difference.”

Leading larger teams while balancing multiple responsibilities and the art of delegation proved challenging.

“I learned to listen, build trust, and create an environment where everyone feels supported. With the help of mentors and by keeping communication open, I have grown as a leader and helped others grow along with me,” he explains.
