How did you get into this business?
I started off supporting sales planning and analysis for The Beer Store. When the market expanded, it created an opportunity for me to transition into supporting the convenience channel. This was an excellent learning experience and allowed me to broaden my understanding of a rapidly evolving retail landscape.
What do you like most about your job?
Seeing the direct impact of my work while learning from the people around me. I find it especially fulfilling to turn data into actionable insights that influence decisions and drive results.
What are you most proud of during the last 12-18 months?
Being part of the Ontario alcohol market expansion and supporting the growth of the convenience channel. I enjoyed contributing to unlocking new opportunities for growth while helping to expand the reach of our brands and products to more customers.
Biggest career challenge?
One of the biggest challenges has been navigating the shift from an established retail structure to an evolving channel. It pushed me to quickly build expertise in new operating models and adapt to changing consumer behaviours and market dynamics.
What excites you most about the future of this channel?
The potential for continued growth in the category. I am excited to see how data-driven decision-making can further optimize shopper experience and product assortments in the convenience channel.
