May-May Solomon

Field marketing manager, Western Canada

Circle K | Alimentation Couche-Tard

How did you get into this business?

I’ve been in marketing for over a decade, working across different roles and industries. When the opportunity came up to join the Western Canada team as a field marketing manager, it felt like a natural next step.

What are you most proud of during the last 12-18 months?

Leading the Smokin’ Hot Deals concept, our value program, across Western Canada has been incredibly rewarding. I’m also proud of the strong community engagement we have built and the continued growth of Froster, a key traffic driver for our business. Working on the launch of the Winner’s Circle exclusive Scratch & Win ticket, a first for Circle K Canada, has been a surreal experience.

What do you like most about your job?

The people. We have built a strong, collaborative culture grounded in accountability, resilience and teamwork, and that makes a meaningful difference in how we show up every day.

What’s the best career advice you’ve received?

Show, don’t tell. It is easy to talk about what you can do, but far more powerful to demonstrate it. That mindset has shaped how I approach everything, by letting my capabilities, expertise and results speak for themselves.

What excites you most about the future?

The growth potential. What is even more exciting is how we continue to evolve to meet our customers’ needs—by being fast, friendly, customer-ready and delivering compelling value every day.

How do you define yourself as a leader?

Setting the standard through action, showing what is possible and creating a clear path for others to follow. I want the people I work with to feel motivated, supported and confident in their ability to push beyond their limits and achieve what they set their minds to.
