2026 Star Women in Convenience winner: Souha Kaçah
Souha Kaçah
Key account associate
Imperial Tobacco Canada | BAT
How did you get into this business?
I started as a territory manager and loved the mix of strategy, relationships and seeing the direct impact in stores. I grew into key accounts, where I could think long-term and work on bigger, more strategic initiatives.
What are you most proud of during the last 12–18 months?
How I supported national accounts through complex launches and pricing changes. It wasn’t always smooth, but I aligned multiple teams and kept things moving forward. Seeing programs come to life in-store is rewarding.
What do you like most about your job?
The balance between analytics and human interaction. One moment I’m deep in data and the next I’m working with partners to solve real business challenges.
Biggest challenge in your career?
Navigating complex systems and processes while managing expectations from different stakeholders, which taught me how important clarity and communication are. Now, I focus on simplifying things and being proactive.
Best advice ever received?
Don’t wait until you feel 100% ready. Early in my career, I realized growth comes from taking on things that feel a bit uncomfortable. That mindset helped me move faster and build confidence along the way.
Career highlight?
Becoming a national key account associate. It came with more responsibility, visibility and impact.
What excites you most about the future?
How fast the channel is evolving, especially with innovation and changing consumer behaviours. There’s a real opportunity to rethink how we engage at the store level. The brands that stay close to the consumer and move quickly will win.
