Alimentation Couche-Tard putting 68 U.S. c-stores up for sale

U.S.-based Convenience Store News is reporting that Alimentation Couche-Tard is placing 68 Circle K convenience stores across 21 U.S. states up for sale through NRC Realty & Capital Advisors LLC (NRC), a firm specializing in the structured sale of convenience stores and commercial real estate.

According to the NRC website, 42 of the stores have a gas operation attached to them and bidding on the stores will commence on November 16. The stores being sold have an average size of between 2,300 sq.-ft. and lot sizes of 23,000 sq.-ft.

Thirty-seven of the stores for sale are fee-owned while the remaining 31 are leased.

This is not the first sale of Circle K stores done through NRC. In June of 2022, Alimentation Couche-Tard engaged NRC’s services to coordinate and manage the sale of 114 Circle K and Couche-Tard sites in the United States and Canada. In that sales, 31 stores were put of for sale across three provinces and 78 across 19 U.S. states.

In 2021, NRC offered and sold 206 sites for Couche-Tard.
