Arthur Irving, second son of industrialist K.C. Irving, is now no longer part of the company’s board of directors of Irving Oil.
According to the company’s website, is now chairman emeritus of Irving Oil and will continue “to maintain a respected advisory role for the Board and its activities.”
According to news reports, Sarah Irving who had been listed as executive vice-president and chief brand officer with the company, is also no longer part of the Irving Oil leadership team. According to the company’s website, Ian Whitcomb is listed as president; Kevin Scott as chief refining and supply officer; Darren Gillis as chief marketing officer; Jennifer Beach as chief human resources and corporate administration officer; Jeff Matthews as chief financial officer; John Laidlaw as chief legal officer; Kelley Greer White as chief information officer; and Peter McNay as chief strategic program delivery officer.
The changes at the top come during a strategic review happening at the company which had been announced in June of this year. In a statement signed by Arthur Irving, Ian Whitcomb and Sarah Irving, the company said, “a series of options are being evaluated related to the company’s future . . . [and] consideration will be given to a new ownership structure, a full or partial sale, or a change in the portfolio of our assets and how we operate them.”
