CCA’s Car Wash for a Cure raises funds for spinal cord research
For the third year in a row, the Canadian Carwash Association held its annual Car Wash for a Cure, an event to raise needed funds for spinal cord research for the Canadian Spinal Research Organization (CSRO).
The SCRO is a nationally registered charity working to improve the lives of persons with spinal cord injuries and related neurological deficits, as well as to reduce the number of spinal cord injuries through awareness and prevention programs.
In Canada, some 86,000 people live with spinal cord injury.
On May 9 and 10, 2025, participating Kilworth, Crosstown, and Valet Car Wash from Komoka to North York, and Kitchener to Niagara Falls welcomed customers who generously donated spare change, digital gifts, and direct contributions for this research.
“A huge thank-you goes out to our incredible car wash partners and to every individual who stopped by to donate. Special appreciation to Valet Car Wash for offering exciting prize draws at select locations, helping to raise even more awareness and funds” wrote the CCA upon the successful fundraising campaign. “For those who couldn’t make it but still want to support this important cause, donations are still being accepted online: Donate to CSRO.”
