Celebrating Canada’s convenience stores
With summer coming to an end, Canadians are being asked by the Convenience Industry Council of Canada to come together to celebrate the essential role Canada’s convenience stores play in their communities during National Convenience Week.
From August 25-29, Canadians are being asked to show their support for the many staff and operators who help keep the stores open seven days a week and keep shelves stocked with goods and freshly made food at the ready.

As part of the celebration, Convenience Week has partnered with Make-A-Wish Canada to raise funds to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses.
“Happy Convenience Store Week,” said Premier Doug Ford. “Thank you to all the hardworking convenience store employees, owners and operators across Ontario for serving your communities, supporting local jobs and going above and beyond every day.”
In 2021, the Province of Ontario officially declared the seven-day period in each year that ends on the Saturday immediately before Labour Day as Convenience Store Week.
Celebrations are underway in communities from coast to coast.
The CSNC team extends a heartfelt congratulations to everyone who make the convenience channel an invaluable asset to communities across the country!
