Coca-Cola Spiced coming to Canadian shelves

First time in three years the iconic beverage maker has added a permanent addition to its drink portfolio.

Starting February 19, lovers of Coca-Cola will get a new flavour to try: Coca-Cola Spiced.

New to the North American portfolio of Coca-Cola drinks, Coca-Cola Spiced will feature the traditional Coca-Cola taste but with added notes from raspberry and spiced flavours, according to the company. 

Coca-Cola Spiced will come in a 12 oz can, 12 oz 12-packs, 10-pack mini cans, 20 oz, .5 litre 6-packs and a 2-litre offering It will also come in a zero-sugar offering as well.

“If you go to the aisles, you’ll see the amount of spiciness has gone up because consumers’ taste palettes have evolved. We realized that could be an opportunity for us,” says Coca-Cola’s North American marketing chief Shakir Moin in an interview with The Associated Press. “Can we dial up something which is already part of our formula and bring in a taste profile that is interesting, unique, and brings in the next generation of consumers?”

According to the same Associated Press report, Coke has looking at various ways to get younger drinkers to take to its brand and drinks. In 2022, it launched Coca-Cola Creations, a series of eight limited-edition Coke flavors and experimented with adding such flavours as coconut, strawberry, watermelon its drinks to attract younger consumers.
