Join Sportun as he examines these and more issues related to the safety and security of c-store and gas stations across Canada. He will also dig into larger trends and provide solutions to help operators boost safety and increase security, resulting in higher sales.
Sportun is currently the vice-president, national accounts & community engagement for GardaWorld Canada, and has nearly three decades of experience in corporate security industry, having previously led Circle K’s Central Canada Loss Prevention Department and oversaw Ontario 7-Eleven security operations.
A true security aficionado, Sportun has studied law enforcement, leadership and management, and crime prevention at a variety of institutions. He is recognized globally for his industry achievements and was recently ranked #1 globally by IFSEC Global “Top Influencers” for the Commercial Security-End Users Category. His innovative vision has also been the focus of Harvard’s University’s School of Business which published two business reviews about his approach towards retail crime prevention.
