Couche-Tard recognized by Gallup for workplace engagement
Alimentation Couche-Tard has been recognized as a 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award winner with distinction, marking the fifth consecutive year the global convenience retailer has received the honour from Gallup.
The award recognizes organizations that Gallup says have developed highly engaged workplace cultures. The “winner with distinction” designation is reserved for a select group of companies that have demonstrated sustained efforts to strengthen employee engagement and support performance.
Couche-Tard said its engagement strategy includes its myVOICE employee survey program, which collects feedback from employees and helps guide leadership decisions on workplace initiatives.
Engaged employees
“Winning the Gallup Exceptional Workplace award for a fifth straight year—and earning Winner With Distinction recognition—shows that the results of our continuing efforts to foster engagement are intensifying,” said Ina Strand, chief people officer at Couche-Tard. “Our partnership with Gallup through our myVOICE employee engagement survey provides important insights that our leaders turn into meaningful action every year.”
According to Gallup, organizations with highly engaged employees tend to outperform their peers on a range of business outcomes, including productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction and employee retention.
Based in Laval, Que., Couche-Tard operates about 17,300 convenience stores in 29 countries and territories under banners including Circle K and Couche-Tard. Approximately 13,200 of those locations offer road transportation fuel.
Couche-Tard was among a small number of retail and foodservice companies recognized, alongside quick-service restaurant operators such as Jollibee Foods Corporation and Sapphire Foods India Ltd, and international convenience retailer Żabka Group.
