McDougall Energy contributes $38,000 to local community groups
McDougall Energy celebrates the success of its sponsored Chuck-a-Puck program with the Soo Greyhounds, a season-long initiative that created meaningful fundraising opportunities for local not-for-profit organizations.
Through the program, participating community groups raised funds in support of their own causes at home Soo Greyhound games, while McDougall Energy matched donations throughout the season. In total, McDougall Energy contributed $38,000 back into the community in support of local sports teams, youth groups, and charities.
“The Soo Greyhounds appreciate the partnership with McDougall Energy to provide support for community organizations through participation in the Chuck-a-Puck at our hockey games. Everyone benefits by the goodwill of such a community-minded organization as McDougall,” stated Tim Lukenda, president and governor of the Soo Greyhounds.
“At McDougall Energy, we believe strong communities are built through local partnerships and shared opportunities to give back,” said Darren McDougall, president of McDougall Energy. “Our Chuck-a-Puck sponsorship with the Soo Greyhounds brought people together all season long while providing meaningful support. We are proud to see $38,000 go back into our community through this program.”
The McDougall Energy Chuck-a-Puck program, run annually by the Soo Greyhounds, gives eligible schools, sports teams, and charitable organizations the opportunity to raise money at home games while engaging fans in a fun in-game tradition. By combining community participation with corporate support, the program helps extend the impact of every game far beyond the rink.
Applications for participating organizations for next season will open this August, with more details to be shared ahead of the new season.
