National Convenience Week raises $75,000 for Make-A-Wish Canada
The Convenience Industry Council of Canada and its member partners raised more than $75,000 for Make-A-Wish Canada during National Convenience Week.
The event kicked off August 31 and, in a response to safe social distancing during COVID-19 precautions, the celebratory and fundraising activities combined online and, where possible, in-person events at CICC retail member sites.
In addition, 130 politicians from different levels of government took part to celebrate the importance of convenience stores and shared their messages about the industry on their social media channels. This year, more than ever, c-stores are being recognized for staying open as essential businesses during the lockdown.
CICC and its member partners will be hosting National Convenience Week next year from August 30 to September 3, 2021.
