Parkland acquires Red Carpet Carwash

Parkland Corporation continues its flight of acquisitions with its recent agreement with North Dakota-based Red Carpet Carwash.

The deal, expected to close in Q3 of this year, was announced last week and includes 12 locations that offer convenience retail, as well as five dealer sites. Altogether, the acquisition package features eight operations in Bismark/Mandan, two sites in Jamestown, and two more businesses in Fargo.

Red Carpet Carwash was founded in 1981 by the Wonnenberg family. Sites are branded with marquees such as EXXON (8) and ARCO (4).

Red Carpet owner, Tim Wonnenberg, is quoted as stating, “We are one of North Dakota’s leading carwash operators, and all our sites feature large-format convenience stores. That matters because when we began looking to sell, we looked to Parkland due to their vision of growing in this market, all with a heavy focus on retail.”

Under its new corporate umbrella, Red Carpet  Carwash will operate under Parkland USA's Northern Tier U.S. regional operating centre in Minot, N.D. Parkland USA has close to 400 dealers in the U.S. market under brands such as Sinclair, Phillips 66, and Chevron as well as EXXON, ARCO, and Centex.
