Sonny’s acquires PECO Car Wash Systems

Sonny’s, the world’s largest manufacturer of conveyorized car wash equipment, parts, and supplies, has announced the acquisition of PECO Car Wash Systems. PECO is a leading U.S.-based manufacturer of professional car washing systems with over 50 years of experience.

“Over the years, we’ve been approached by other companies but we never felt it to be the right fit. Like us, Sonny’s is a second-generation car wash family with client relationships that date back for decades," says JR Rietsch, president of PECO. “By joining Sonny’s we now have a full offering in-house to make our clients even more successful.”

According to Sonny’s CEO, Paul Fazio, the acquisition will complement both Sonny’s and PECO customers. “PECO’s history in the industry, service-oriented background and customer-focused approach matches well with Sonny’s,” he says, adding that the combination of their equipment lines offers tremendous benefit to their global network of thousands of car wash professionals.

PECO’s management and staff will remain in place with the factory in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
