How did you get into this business?  

My career at Couche-Tard started with the creation of a new department—petroleum maintenance. At the time I was working for another company, we were a supplier/ contractor for Couche-Tard, so I was already familiar with the staff. My work ethic and knowledge caught their attention, so when an opportunity for me to join their team presented itself, I jumped on it. My expertise and knowledge contributed to the department’s success. I was then recruited by the maintenance department to be the next manager.

What do you like most about your job?

Each day brings a different challenge, so no two days are the same. I get to find and build connections with suppliers, plus I get to work with a stellar team!

What was the biggest challenge of your career?

Adapting to the never-ending challenges that are added to my list, like learning a new software or supporting new hardware installed in stores—all of which generate a new list of challenges to fix.

What's the best advice you ever received? 

To always give the best of myself because I can’t control anything else.

Career highlight/biggest achievement?

Having developed a culture of confidence, participation and recognition with my colleagues and suppliers. Each has flourished independently. Once that is established then teamwork really kicks in, You lead by example!

How do you define yourself as a leader?

I’m reliable, positive, work focused and determined with a dash of fun.

Pourquoi/comment avez-vous commencé dans ce domaine? 

Ma carrière chez Couche-Tard a commencé avec la création d’un nouveau département soit la maintenance pétrolière avec nos techniciens. Mon expertise et mes connaissances ont contribué à la belle réussite de ce nouveau département.

 Qu’est-ce que vous aimer le plus dans votre travail?

J’aime que chaque jour amène son propre lot de défi donc pas deux jours pareils pour moi. En plus, j’ai l’opportunité de travailler avec une équipe en OR !

Quel était votre plus grand défi dans votre carrière?

Mon plus grand défi est de prendre le temps nécessaire afin d’effectuer mes tâches.

Quel était l’avis le plus important que vous avez reçu?

De donner le meilleur de moi-même, le reste je ne le contrôle pas.

Quel est votre plus grand réussite de carrière? 

D’avoir su développer un climat de confiance, participatif et de reconnaissance avec mes collaborateurs et fournisseurs. Chacun peut s’épanouir et ce, indépendamment de leur profil.

Je suis fiable, positive et je possède un bon esprit analytique.
