Canadian Carwash Association announces new board members for 2026-2027
The Canadian Carwash Association’s new board members collectively bring decades of hands-on industry experience, leadership, and a shared commitment to advancing operational excellence and long-term growth within the carwash sector. While all members contribute deep industry knowledge and a practical understanding of the evolving needs of operators and suppliers, each also offers distinct expertise that strengthens the board’s overall perspective.
The following directors have been appointed to the executive:
- President: Michael Saunders, Mark VII Equipment
- Vice-president: Rudy van Woerkom, Belvedere Technical Services Ltd.

President, Michael Saunders
Mark VII Equipment
Saunders is part of MarkVII Canada team in the Canadian service coordinator role. He began his carwash career with Baywatch Doors Canada. He brings with him experience from other board tenures, as well as exposure to non-profits.
Treasurer, Matt Verity
Matt Verity Consulting
Verity has spent the last 10 years as an accomplished founder and entrepreneur in the self-storage and car wash industries. From site assessment and facility design, development management, operations and marketing, his diverse experience gained over the past 20+ years has made him a sought-after consultant within the car wash industry.
Vice-president, Rudy van Woerkom
Belvedere Technical Services Ltd.
Van Woerkom's introduction to the carwash industry was in the mid-1980s, providing vehicle access control equipment in Calgary. By becoming a CCA Director, van Woerkom hopes to put this "double-edged" experience to help industry members see the benefits of the association.

Valet Car Wash
Smith began her career in the industry in 1993 as a retailer, operating gas bars, convenience and carwash at Shell Canada. She also served on the Shell training team. Smith joined the valet team in 2012 in a management capacity where her role quickly developed into training and compliance manager. Smith had previously served on the CCA board of directors from 2002-2004.

Sunoco LP
As a car wash operational manager at Sunoco, Beaudoin's role centres on strengthening the overall performance of their network by focusing on operational execution, financial profitability, and support for the maintenance team. She spent six years in the construction sector, serving as the internal reference for all car wash–related projects. She hopes to contribute to an industry that continues to grow and evolve toward more environmentally responsible solutions.
Mike Brideau
Petro Service Limited
Brideau began his career with Petroservice Limited in 1987 as a car wash technician, responsible for the installation and servicing of car wash systems throughout Atlantic Canada. Now, as national sales manager for Car Wash, Brideau is focused on what’s next: expanding Petroservice’s capabilities, refining its market presence. It’s a forward‑looking role, built on decades of hands‑on experience.
Sergio Dimonte
Crosstown Car Wash
Dimonte is a Toronto-based entrepreneur and co-owner of Crosstown Car Wash, a family-run business serving the Greater Toronto Area since 1978. Dimonte and his family helped expand and modernize the business into a diversified car care provider, offering express washes, self-serve bays, and full-service detailing. He stays actively involved in daily operations and industry engagement, supporting Crosstown’s continued growth as one of Toronto’s long-standing independent car wash businesses.
Jeremy Enns
Enns Wash and Shine
Jeremy Enns is the relatively new owner-operator of a single site in Ontario, Canada, with three self-serve wash bays, a truck bay, and an in-bay touchless automatic.
Steve Hebb
Kilworth Car Wash
Hebb is the owner of Kilworth Car Wash, which he and his partners opened in 2022 to serve London and the surrounding area. Hebb and his partners have built a business that reflects their passion for connecting with customers, suppliers, and fellow operators. He’s always looking to try new ideas and stay on top of industry trends. Alongside his car wash experience, Hebb also brings a background in the self-storage and oil & gas industries, offering a well-rounded perspective to the Canadian Carwash Association board.
Michael Howe
WashLinks
During Howe's professional career he has occupied many senior executive roles spanning a wide variety of industries including credit, call centre management and renewable energy. Howe recognized his passion for the car wash industry and has since moved to the equipment side of the business as general manager for WashLinks bringing with him his service and customer-driven focus. WashLinks is a Canadian owned equipment provider offering comprehensive car wash solutions for operators entering and operating car wash businesses.
Katarina Popovic
Suncor
Popovic recently joined the car wash business as category manager of Petro-Canada’s national car wash network. Popovic is responsible for developing annual category plans, managing vendor relationships, overseeing cross-functional teams, and leading marketing programs and promotions from concept to execution. She has spent the last 13 years moving through various roles across multiple business units within Suncor, from distribution to finance and most recently, convenience retailing-category management. Popovic is willing to take on a challenge, eager to learn, and excited to be part of the Canadian Carwash Association.
