Canco Petroleum opens new location in Ontario

Canco Barrie part of fuel provider’s ambitious growth plans for Canada.

Canco Petroleum, a national operator of gas stations that launched in 2016 with its head office in Kelowna, B.C., announced the opening of its newest location in Barrie, Ontario.

Located on Bayfield Road (Ontario highway 26), the new site offers self-serve fueling, pre-pay, diesel, ATM and includes a convenience store with a vaping outlet. The site is located off the 400 in one of the busiest commercial areas in Barrie located near the fast-food restaurants, shopping centers and residential properties.

In July, Rob Laing, director of operations at Canco spoke with Convenience Store News Canada about the expansion plans for the company. “We’re doing a countdown to site 100,” Rob Laing, director of operations at Canco, said in an exclusive interview with OCTANE.

Laing told Convenience Store News Canada that Canco was well on it way to opening it 100th, location by the end of June and that over the past couple of months Canco had opened locations two new locations in the Greater Toronto Area: one in North York and another in Brampton, joining 14 sites located in Sarnia, Grand Bend, Mitchell, Clinton, Exeter, London, St. Thomas, Fonthill, Grimsby, Hamilton, Collingwood, Nipissing, Mission and Terrace Bay.
