As part of its continuing expansion, Canco Petroleum announced the opening of its newest location in the town of Port Hope, Ontario, one hour east of Toronto, near the town of Cobourg.
The new location offers self-serve fuelling and features a Tim Hortons restaurant, a full size convenience store and a separate retail space offering vaping products and accessories. The 'Vapour Vault' retail offering is a first for Canco in Ontario and it offers a wide range of vapour products including e-cigarettes, e-juice, hardware and batteries. Vapour Vault is a proprietary brand belonging to Canco.
The site is easily accessible off the 401 Highway of Heroes and is situated on the main route to downtown Port Hope.The location is close to many fast-food restaurants and shopping centres making it ideal stop for getting fuel or a snack before visiting Port Hope's downtown that is designated as a Heritage District. Port Hope is also well-known for having one of the best-preserved main streets in Ontario.
Rob Lang, director of operations at Canco, told OCTANE that Canco looks to have some 100 locations featuring the company’s blue-and-orange logo and is working with Fuel Partners on business development in Ontario. The new Port Hope location joins two in the Greater Toronto Area and those Sarnia, Grand Bend, Mitchell, Clinton, Exeter, London, St. Thomas, Fonthill, Grimsby, Hamilton, Collingwood, Nipissing, Mission and Terrace Bay.
