Greg Gill, who previously worked with the Coleman group of companies and NLC Group of Companies, announced that he has taken on the position of director of marketing with North Atlantic in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Taking to his LinkedIn profile, Gill wrote that after rewarding leadership roles with NLC and Colemans, “I was granted an opportunity in the spring of 2023 to step back and thoughtfully evaluate what was next for me. Since then, I’ve deepened my connection with family and friends, travelled to attend some incredible concerts and sporting events, put my skills in sales and marketing strategy to the test as an independent business consultant, and even scratched a long-standing itch to return to public service as a communications director.”

“Which is why I’m excited to share that I’ve accepted the role of director of marketing with North Atlantic here in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.”

North Atlantic has been a leader in Newfoundland and Labrador’s fuel industry, operating a network of branded gas stations and convenience stores. The company also has teamed up with Suncor Energy's Petro-Canada, and North Atlantic has recently expanded its footprint into Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Under the newly established entity, North Sun Energy, the company now oversees 110 gas and convenience sites across the three provinces.

“It’s a proudly Newfoundland and Labrador–rooted company with a strong legacy, an ambitious vision, and a growing retail presence throughout Atlantic Canada via the North Atlantic, Petro Canada, North Sun Energy, and OrangeStore brands” Gill writes. “The opportunity to help lead marketing and promotional efforts for a business that plays such an important role in communities across the region feels both energizing and meaningful.”
