This Wednesday, May 23, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) with the Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS) will be holding its campaign to raise awareness of workplace hazards and promote compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations.

As part of its ongoing campaign to raise awareness and promote the training of workers in various industries on how to properly handle dangerous materials and workplace hazards, the MLIRSD has made material handling a focus of their workplace inspections from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. As part of this campaign, MLITSD and Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS) have come together to a free webinar on May 23 at 10.30 a.m. (EST), aimed at educating and empowering employers with information to strengthen their health and safety programs.
