Nominations open for the 2025 Star Women in Convenience Awards

We are thrilled to kick off the 2025 Star Women in Convenience Awards with a call for nominations! It's time to shine a light on the incredible women making a difference in the convenience and gas channel. 

From retailers to distributors, manufacturers, association leaders and consultants, the 2025 Star Women in Convenience Awards will honour women demonstrating commitment, innovation and leadership across Canada. 

Do you know an industry star? We want to hear about her! Nominate colleagues, clients, vendor partners and more. 

THE DEADLINES IS FRIDAY MARCH 28th.

 

Winners will be selected in three categories:

Senior-level Stars (vice-presidents or higher)

Shining Stars (candidates who are not a vice-president or higher)

Store-level Stars (owners/operators or managers)

Criteria:

  • Must work in the Canadian convenience industry

  • Must not have been a previous winner in the same category (if someone has moved from Shining Star to Senior-level Star, she is eligible to win again).

Winners will be announced online in the All Convenience e-newsletter, featured in the July/August 2025 issue of Convenience Store News Canada magazine and celebrated at the annual Star Women in Convenience Event on September 17, 2025.

Here's what you need to know to nominate:

  1. Name and contact details
  2. How many years has the nominee been in the business?
  3. Why are you nominating this person for a Star Women in Convenience Award?
  4. Please provide examples of notable projects or professional achievements (including any company or industry awards).
  5. What are the nominees primary responsibilities?
  6. What is the sphere of her influence? (i.e. employee leadership, purchasing decisions, team management, brand management, etc.)?
  7. How is the nominee contributing positively to the convenience industry and/or larger community (i.e. involvement with industry organizations, volunteer work, other leadership roles)?
