Rabba Fine Foods celebrated its 25th annual Rabba Roots Charity Golf Classic on September 11.

The annual charity golf classic was held at the Brampton Golf Club and brought together vendors and partners from the grocery industry to champion the Rabba Roots Community Giving Program. Rabba’s tournament has a long history of collaboration with local not-for-profit organizations within the Greater Toronto Area to make a meaningful impact.

“Our 25th annual golf tournament was a wonderful success,” says Rick Rabba, president of Rabba Fine Foods. “We commemorated this milestone alongside our valuable partners and vendors who stand shoulder to shoulder with us in our daily commitment to serve the communities we call home.”

The Rabba Roots Community Giving Program helps and supports customers and neighborhoods, and partners with local charities and programs, including The Grocery Foundation, Good Shepherd Ministries, Food Banks Mississauga and Trillium Health Partners.

For the second consecutive year, Tom Shurrie, president and CEO of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers, assumed the role of Master of Ceremonies for the event.

"This marks the 25th annual golf tournament hosted by Rabba, and once again, it has proven to be a resounding success. It is heartwarming to witness industry players collaborating with vendors to champion vital causes within our communities," says Shurrie.

Notable attendees included key Rabba partners such as Maple Leaf Foods, Nestlé Canada, Coca-Cola Canada, The Kraft Heinz Company, Burnbrae Farms, Danone Canada, J.M Smuckers, Kruger Products, C4 Energy, and others.
