Pride month began in Canada on June 1. Dedicated to celebrating and commemorating the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, LGBT Pride Month in Canada is a way for community members and allies to show their support.
This pride month we want to show how the companies that make up Canada’s proud c-store, gas station and car wash community are showing their support to the LGBT community.

Many suppliers, manufacturers and retailers are showing their commitment to their LGBT employees and customers through vibrant campaigns.
Mondelēz International has supported World Pride for many years with through “Oreo Pride”. This year, Mondelēz Australia has partnered with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
Shell has been supporting its LGBT employees for many years through its multiple campaigns and workplace inclusion programs.
"We want to foster and support an environment where our LGBT+ colleagues feel they belong and can thrive at Shell,” says Sinead Gorman, chief financial officer at Shell, in a statement on the company’s website.
This year the company is sharing its LGBT staff’s stories.
Petro-Canada is celebrating equality, acceptance and inclusion in their workplace. On their “Pump Talk” website, the company is sharing resources for non-LGBT community members who want to be good allies to the community.
Off the pumps, many retailers and manufacturers are showing their pride through special products.
Beer manufacturer, Bud Light Canada, has released a special-edition pride can to commemorate Pride. The company is giving $100,000 this year to various organizations supporting the LGBT community across Canada. Couche-Tard has also helped support Bud Light Canada’s Pride initiative by becoming a donating partner.
