Toronto-based grocer Rabba, through its Rabba Roots community program, has partnered with Good Shepherd Ministries to host the 10th annual Game Day dinner for men experiencing homelessness.

The event will be held on Super Bowl Sunday, February 8, at Good Shepherd Ministries on Queen Street in Toronto. The event offers more than 120 men the opportunity to watch the game together and experience game-time camaraderie, while enjoying a warm, game-time meal, beverages and a sense of community. In addition to the dinner, Rabba and its partners will provide extra meals and snacks to support the shelter in the weeks ahead.

With generous contributions from partners including McCain Foods, the donation includes burgers, hot dogs and other game-day favourites, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. To help sustain the community beyond the event itself, Rabba is also providing 500 winter hats and 250 pairs of gloves.

This year’s donation also includes a new 75-inch television and sound system for Good Shepherd Ministries' main dining hall, enhancing the space for future gatherings and programming.

Through its Rabba Roots community program, the company supports local organizations and initiatives focused on food security, community wellbeing and giving back to the neighbourhoods it serves.
