2026 Star Women in Convenience winner: Myriam Marquis
Myriam Marquis
Sales director – small format and alternative channels
Keurig Dr Pepper Canada
How did you get into this business?
My path into this business wasn’t linear. I started in languages, dance and retail before deciding to pivot and earn a business degree while working full time and raising two children. During that time, I joined Couche-Tard as a category manager, where I discovered a strong passion for the convenience and CPG industry. After five years managing key categories, I moved to KDP to further grow the convenience and gas (C&G) channel.
What are you most proud of?
What my team has accomplished. We strengthened relationships with customers and partners, expanded distribution for our own and partner brands and established ourselves as a key player in the industry. Our efforts were recognized at KDP when we were named Team of the Year, an especially meaningful achievement given how hard we worked to earn visibility and recognition alongside much larger accounts.
What do you like most about your job?
With so many customers and a highly complex route to market, the role requires a clear strategy, strong ownership and the ability to adapt quickly. I’m challenged every day by my team, my customers, our partners and my colleagues, and I thrive in that environment. I enjoy collaborating on creative solutions that drive better results, strengthen relationships and continuously improve the way we operate.
Biggest career challenge?
As a mother of three, being present for my children’s activities while also showing up for my team and my customers required me to set clearer boundaries and prioritize more intentionally. Balance isn’t about doing everything perfectly—it’s about making deliberate choices and recognizing that taking care of myself allows me to be a better leader, partner and parent.
What’s the best career advice you’ve received?
You don’t lose—you learn. Every setback is an opportunity to improve and do better next time.
Career highlight?
I’m most proud of building the C&G channel at KDP. When I joined, it was underdeveloped and not fully understood internally. Today, we’ve established a strong, credible presence in the industry, which I see as a meaningful and lasting impact.
What excites you most about the future?
Today’s shoppers are looking beyond speed and convenience—they want meaningful value. Being part of a channel that can adapt and respond to these shifts is energizing.
