2026 Star Women in Convenience winner: Sheri Mallory
Sheri Mallory
Key account strategic manager
JTI-Macdonald
How did you get into this business?
I started as a summer student with JTI, which gave me my first real exposure to the business. A few years later, I joined full time in an entry-level role supporting sales. I continued to grow across different roles, but those early experiences shaped my interest in the commercial side of the business and the value of strong relationships.
What are you most proud of during the last 12–18 months?
I’m especially proud of launching a mentorship program at JTI Canada alongside two colleagues from different departments. The goal was to connect employees looking to develop their mentorship and leadership skills with those who could benefit from that support. It was a very collaborative effort. Seeing it come to life and knowing it is helping people grow has been incredibly rewarding.
Career highlight?
I take the greatest pride in the cumulative impact of my work, building strong relationships, supporting meaningful projects and always striving to improve outcomes for the business, our customers and the people I work with. It’s often the smaller, consistent efforts that have the greatest long-term impact.
What excites you most about the future of this channel?
The pace and momentum. The convenience channel is constantly changing and that creates space for new ideas, new products and better ways of connecting with customers. It’s an environment where you have to stay agile and keep looking ahead.
