7-Eleven Canada offering Korean snacks
Ranging from a twist on familiar favourites like chicken wings to more directly Korean treats like Tteokbokki snacks, 7-Eleven Canada is bringing a taste of Korea to some of its stores.
As more retailers are leaning into international flavours to draw in younger or more adventurous customers, 7-Eleven Canada is offering a taste of Korea's best selling snack options. The trend to introduce Asian-inspired treats and beverages is gaining traction: Tim Hortons introduced matcha-based hot and cold beverages.
Josh Kobza, the chief executive officer for Restaurant Brands International Inc., said that same-store sales at Tim Hortons in Canada rose 1.8% in the third quarter, partially due to the introduction of matcha beverages.
