Kraft Heinz Canada is recalling its MiO Energy brand Energy Drink Mixes after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a notice about the products after an inspection found potentially unsafe levels of caffeine.

Canadian retail outlets and consumers are being asked not to consume, use, sell, serve or distribute these recalled products.

According to the CFIA, high levels of caffeine may have adverse health effects for children, pregnant individuals, breastfeeding individuals, and those sensitive to caffeine. Exercising while consuming caffeine may lead to adverse health effects. Some of the side effects of consuming excess caffeine may include insomnia, irritability, headaches, and nervousness.
