Chandra Kumar appointed market head of Canada for Nestlé Canada
Nestlé Canada announced that Chandra Nath Kumar, currently president of Nestlé Nutrition U.S. and Canada, will take on role of market head of Canada starting on September 1st.
He will be taking over the role from John Carmichael who Nestle Canada says has decided to return to the United States and take a new role outside of the food and beverage industry.
“We thank John for bringing his passion for people forward in everything he did and being a strong leader within the Canadian CPG industry. He has been a trusted colleague and friend to many and will be missed,” said Nestlé Canada in a release accompanying the new of the executive change.

Kumar began his career in Canada and has more than 27 years of experience across Nestlé, holding leadership positions in general management, marketing, and finance across markets including the U.S., Canada, Poland, Brazil and Vevey. Nestlé Canada says that he is well positioned to lead the Canadian market with deep industry experience and expertise, as well as strong financial acumen.
